About Me
I hold a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a GPA of 4.0. My expertise includes spatial data analysis, GIS, and spatial modelling. I am proficient in GIS tools, particularly ArcGIS and QGIS, and have a proven track record in environmental and urban planning. Notable achievements include urban modelling, fire hazard analysis, zoning, and the development of WebGIS platforms. I specialize in spatial data analysis formats such as KML, SHP, and CSV, as well as land use analysis and modelling, satellite image processing, remote sensing, and the visualization of spatial and statistical data. My focus is on sustainable development, with a strong commitment to attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and budget planning. I excel in collaboration and have a passion for using geospatial technology to enhance sustainability and contribute to climate change mitigation. Additionally, I have a deep interest in applying machine learning to geospatial analytics and am always seeking new technologies, tools, and methodologies to advance my skills and contribute to innovative solutions.
What I Do
Over the past five years, I have been actively engaged in projects related to spatial analysis, urban planning, and academic research. Around 80% of the projects I handled involved desk research and field surveys, focusing on spatial planning, urban development, and the use of geospatial technologies.
2022 – Early Research Experience
In 2022, I began contributing to several research and development projects, including:
-
Study of Tobacco Industry Centers in Brebes Regency.
-
Development of a website for publishing research on Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) in Klaten Regency.
-
Fire hazard analysis in Semarang City, in collaboration with the State Polytechnic of Public Works.
-
Completion of my undergraduate thesis titled “Urban-Rural Transformation and Urban Growth Prediction in Lebak Regency – Banten”.
2023 – Master’s Studies & Research Assistantship
After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in November 2022, I continued my studies in the Master’s Program of Urban and Regional Planning at Diponegoro University in 2023. During this period, I also worked as a lecturer and research assistant, responsible for managing course administration, student assignments, and supporting faculty-led research.
Additionally, I served as a research assistant in the continuation of the fire hazard project in Semarang City, focusing on the development of a fire response application.
2024 – Key Milestones & International Collaboration
The year 2024 marked an important stage in my professional journey. I successfully completed my master’s degree with a thesis entitled “Degree of Urban Expansion and Physical Fragmentation of Built-up Land in Semarang City”.
I also took part in EPOCH45, an international planning competition for Indonesia’s new capital (IKN), initiated by Mars Architect in collaboration with Diponegoro University and other partners. I was responsible for developing the competition website and serving as an initial curator for participant submissions, which were later evaluated by an international jury consisting of:
-
Bambang Sutantono — President, IKN Authority
-
Winy Maas — Co-founder, MVRDV
-
Henk Ovink — Commission on the Economics of Water
-
Pedro Camarena — LAAP + UNAM
-
Arief Rabik — Founder, Indo Bamboo
-
Sofian Sibarani — Founder, URBAN+
-
Daliana Suryawinata — Co-founder, SHAU
-
Eric Frijters — FABRICations
-
Bindu Lohani — Distinguished Adjunct Board Member, AIT
In the same year, I also contributed to the third phase of the fire hazard project in Semarang City, which focused on the dissemination of the developed fire response application to local communities, particularly in Rejosari Subdistrict—one of the most fire-prone areas in the city.
2025 – Continued Collaboration
Following the completion of my master’s degree, I continued to work with my academic advisor as a assistant lecturer. In mid-2025, I also collaborated again with Mars Architect for the BaliBiennial, where I was responsible for the development of the official event website.
